About Us
Oakstead is a master-planned, deed restricted community encompassing over 2,000 acres of preserved land, lakes, and nature trails. Featuring 1,194 homes in 8 distinctive villages, Oakstead is a quiet community that does not feel congested or crowded. The community is brought together at the Oakstead Clubhouse located at the front of our community.
The Oakstead Clubhouse offers a large selection of amenities including a large community swimming pool which includes lap lanes and shallow play areas as well as covered shade areas around the pool. There is also a children’s pool with zero entry and shallow areas as well for toddlers. A soccer field, sand volleyball court, two tennis courts, basketball courts, covered playground, and sports fields round out the outside areas. The Clubhouse provides inside meeting rooms, restrooms, tables, and lounging areas.
Oakstead is easily accessible from the Suncoast Parkway (FL-589), US-41, and I-75/I-275. Oakstead is conveniently located about 30 minutes from Tampa International Airport and the Westshore Business District. We are also about 30-45 minutes from St. Petersburg and Clearwater beaches. We are also conveniently located near The Shoppes at Wiregrass, The Groves at Wesley Chapel, and Westfield Citrus Park. Both International Plaza and Westfield Westshore Plaza are available via the Suncoast Parkway (589).
The Oakstead Elementary School, located on Lake Patience Road serves the community and surrounding area, with Rushe Middle School and Sunlake High School located next door in Concorde Station.
The Sunlake Shopping Center contains the Publix Supermarket as well as retail shops, banks, restaurants, etc.
Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Board of Directors to act in the best interest of its members for the administration of covenant interpretation and enforcement, enhancement of community interactions, and the preservation of the organization through ethical and fiscally responsible solutions designed to optimize property values and quality of life.

In order to meet the Mission Statement the Board of Directors shall develop and adopt a proactive role that will result in:

Oakstead History
Oakstead is a family-friendly Community Development District, also known as a CDD. The land Oakstead sits on was originally owned by the family of Milo Thomas and Fred Jones. Devco IV, L.L.C. purchased 878 acres in the year 2000 and named the property Oakstead. Oakstead is a gated community comprised of 9 subdivisions with 1,184 homes.
The first subdivision to be developed was Brenford, followed by Keswick, Strathmore, Ashmonte, Weymouth, Hillington, Ballastone, Marchmont and Tanglewylde respectively. Tanglewylde and Weymouth are maintenance free villas while the rest of the communities are single family homes.
Oakstead residents share approximately 45 beautifully manicured acres of common area including 65 ponds, a 2-mile nature path and a community clubhouse with pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a fitness center. Oakstead is located within 25 minutes from the Tampa International Airport and 15 minutes from the Wiregrass Mall. Oakstead Elementary School is located right in Oakstead and the high schools are within a mile from the community.
